Job Purpose
• To translate/rephrase the IMU deliverables/products/questionnaires from Arabic to English and vice versa with high quality and using the humanitarian terminology in clear language understood by English native speakers
Responsibilities
-To convert the Arabic reports received from the Reporting officer/Narrative analyst to high quality English language applying humanitarian terminology in a clear manner.
-To revise the source documents received by manager/team members in the source language Arabic/English.
-To translate any required documents by manager from English to Arabic and vice versa
-To perform interpretation during meetings/trainings upon request.
-To disseminate information in close coordination with the Advocacy and Communications department.
-To attend Cluster meetings, present IMU products there and engage with UN cluster co-leads
-To present IMU products in professional way in English/Arabic languages in meetings
-To prepare relevant reports/ perform additional tasks as required by management.

Job Purpose
• To show the required indicators for IMU products and services through visualizing and analysing the received raw data from the IMU’s network of enumerators in Syria after validating and cleaning it, as clear graphs, charts and tables. This job is considered a backbone of the information processing capacity.
Responsibilities
•To process both qualitative and quantitative data (received from the data management officer) so the generated information can be further processed by the GIS and the reporting officers.
•To create pivot tables, heatmaps, charts of assessment databases, qualitative analysis of secondary data, creating case studies etc.
•To support the network officers and the manager in the design of assessment methodologies and sampling techniques etc.
•To design strucutured questionnaires for IMU products.
•To program the questionnaires and surveys on Kobo.
•To set all validation rules to minimize the range of errors during field data collection.
•To produce online interactive reports and studies based on the received data.
•To prepare tables that contain information from the available datasets as per request.
•To establish sampling methods for the data collection in Syria that apply the rules of representative sampling methods.
•To clean and validate the raw data prior processing and analysis in cooperation with the network officers.
•To archive the data including (raw data, clean data, analysed data) on SharePoint after the closure of each project/product.
•To process case-specific information requests.

1.Background
Assistance Coordination Unit is implemented a project titled” Rehabilitation of Jomrokiyeh Irrigation System in Afrin”. Project aims to rehabilitate the Jomrokiyeh Irrigation System. Through this intervention, 376 farmers can access reliable and cost-efficient irrigation service for their fields.
2.Objective
The purpose is to female farmers with capacity building program about agricultural/cultivation in addition to conduct field visit to monitor and evaluation the practices and knowledge are in place.
3.Scope of Work
The consultant provides the following service during the contracting period:
– Assess the needs of female farmers to customize the training topics required.
– Provide technical capacity-building 5 sessions (2 days each) for 75 female farmers in the following areas of summer vegetable cultivation and winters crops as required by assessment.
– Conduct 10 field visits with female farmers to provide hands-on practical skills on crop planting, irrigation practices (drip irrigation, efficient watering schedules), harvesting, and post-harvest handling.

– Establish an efficient internal system for the financial department and cost recovery processes. This system should encompass financial planning, budgeting, revenue collection, and cost management.
-Create a financial monitoring and auditing system to track and assess financial performance.
– Design and provide forms and templates for financial records, billing procedures, and financial auditing.

تنفذ وحدة تنسيق الدعم مشروعًا بعنوان "إعادة تأهيل نظام الري في كمروك في عفرين". يهدف المشروع
إلى إعادة تأهيل نظام الري في كمروك من خلال هذا التدخل، سيتمكن 376 مزارعًا من الوصول إلى خدمة
ري موثوقة وفعالة من حيث التكلفة لأراضيهم.
الهدف
الهدف من هذه المهمة هو تقديم برنامج بناء قدرات للجنة المالية التابعة لهيئة مستخدمي المياه حول العمليات
المالية ووضع نظام جباية فعال.
نطاق العمل
يقوم المستشار بتنفيذ جلسات تدريبية الى اللجنة المالية بالإضافة الى نقاط أخرى مذكورة في الأسفل:
تقديم تدريب شامل لبناء القدرات الفنية (تدريب واحد لمدة 5 أيام لـ 5 ممثلين من جمعية مستخدمي المياه) لفريق الإدارة
المالية واسترداد التكاليف (إدارة مالية، استراتيجيات استرداد التكاليف، وأفضل الممارسات في الاستدامة المالية).
تطوير مصفوفة مفصلة توضح الأدوار والمسؤوليات داخل فريق الإدارة المالية واسترداد التكاليف.
إنشاء نظام داخلي فعال لقسم المالية وعمليات استرداد التكاليف. يجب أن يشمل هذا النظام التخطيط المالي، إعداد
الميزانية، تحصيل الإيرادات، وإدارة التكاليف. إنشاء نظام لرصد الأداء المالي وتدقيقه
تصميم وتوفير استمارات ونماذج للسجلات المالية، إجراءات الفواتير، والتدقيق المالي.
إدارة الأصول.
متابعة اللجنة المالية والاشراف على العمل.

اختبارات قبل وبعد التدريب والنتائج النهائية.

المؤهلات

Workplace: Syria-Aleppo-Afrin-Maabtali-Jomrokiyeh
Duration of work: 20-25 working days, over 2 months from 15 Sep to 15 Nov 2024.
Assistance Coordination Unit is implemented a project titled” Rehabilitation of Jomrokiyeh Irrigation System in Afrin”. Project aims to rehabilitate the Jomrokiyeh Irrigation System. Through this intervention, 376 farmers can access reliable and cost-efficient irrigation service for their fields.
The purpose is to provide representatives of water users association with capacity building program to enhance and boost their management and administration skills enabling them to run the irrigation system and foster the coordination between the farmers.
The consultant conducts training sessions for farmers (3 groups/each group attends 3 days) on the following topics in alignment other terms:

Training program
The training targets about 35 people, divided into 3 groups. Each group participates in 3-day training. The training schedule will be discussed later.
ACU rents the training hall and provides the refreshments.

تطوير الهيكل التنظيمي لجمعية مستخدمي المياه.
تمكين الممثلين لإدارة تشغيل المحطة.
تطوير/المساعدة في تطوير خطط واستراتيجيات للاستجابة للطوارئ

برنامج التدريب
يستهدف التدريب حوالي 35 شخصًا، مقسمين إلى 3 مجموعات. كل مجموعة تشارك في تدريب لمدة 3 أيام. سيتم مناقشة جدول التدريب لاحقًا. بالإضافة الى تجهيز خطط، هياكل تنظيمية ونماذج أخرى
تستأجر وحدة تنسيق الدعم قاعة التدريب وتوفر المرطبات.
المؤهلات
خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في التدريب.
حاصل على درجة البكالوريوس أو أعلى في الإدارة أو ما يعادلها.
خبرة مثبتة في التدريب على الإدارة والقيادة.
تفضيلات أخرى: شهادة في PMD، PMP، PgMD.

Background:
Within the development projects implemented by ACU, a project supporting the solar energy value chain is being implemented. This current phase follows a previous stage where the value chain was analyzed and the founding charter of what is now known as the Syrian Scientific Society for Renewable Energies was signed.
