The Information Management Unit (IMU) issued the fourth edition of the flash report “Field Developments and Displacement Movements in Idleb and Northern Hama Countryside and Western and Southern Aleppo Countrysides”.
Since the beginning of the month of March 2019, the Syrian regime and Russia started escalating their military operations and bombing on the liberated areas of Idleb Governorate and its adjacent countrysides. The IMU enumerators managed to document 48 facilities that were targeted with bombing, a total of 261 civilians were killed as a result of this offensive with 63 children among the victims.
The number of IDPs raised to 202,689 IDPs, with 146,188 IDPs among them were distributed among the cities and towns of Idleb and Aleppo governorates, where also 56,501 IDPs arrived in the northern Syria camps; for the period between April 1 till May 14, 2019.
