The IMU is a key department within ACU. It is the central source of information for many stakeholders like donors, UN agencies, and international and local organizations concerned with and operating within Syria. Since its establishment in 2012, the IMU has produced reports in a responsive, innovative, and effective way to shed light on the humanitarian situation in the war-affected areas inside Syria.

The IMU issues various information products updated periodically depending on the data collected by a network of qualified enumerators spread across Syria. IMU publishes its products in two languages, mainly Arabic and English, and as per need, in Turkish.
