IDPs camp monitoring report

Northern Syria Edition 15

Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) launched the 15th edition of its monthly IDP camp monitoring
report. The report was prepared to assess the IDPs living conditions in camps during October 2014.
Most of the camps went through difficult situations during October due to heavy rains at the beginning of this month. Because of the lack of infrastructure, drainage systems and road gravelling a lot of tents were drowned, and the streets were flooded. Moving around between the tents was almost
impossible. IDPs lost many of their possessions along with the tent furniture. It is very important to
think of the structure of these random camps and work seriously to come up with a drastic solution
for the problem of drainage systems especially during winter.
